Info for New Parents

Information about starting school

One of the biggest changes for new families arriving from outside France is the fact that you need to buy your own school supplies. The lists are now posted on the school website here. You'll need to login as a parent eabjm, password 0809 and then click on your section of the school.

Remember that the easiest thing to do with these (alarminly long and complicated) lists is to take them to one of the school recommended bookshops and then call back the next day and pick it all up! It'll cost you a little bit more than fighting your way around one of the big supermarket stationery departments but at least you'll stay sane and your kids will have the right supplies! If you have more than one child, take along a shopping trolley to pick it all up - in Primaire the supplies for one child can weigh up to 15kg (although be reassured that the heavy books stay at school).

FAQs
PiA have worked with Admissions department to create a list of Frequently Asked Questions which attempts to anticipate the main questions about starting school. Don't forget that your parent partner will also be delighted to answer any questions.

College and Lycee children will have summer reading to do - at least in English for those who are beginners in French. Those going into the regular bilingual classes will find the french reading lists along with the documents as will the Adaptation children who already know some French and will be going into group 2 french (your list is a special Adaptation list - don't be frightened by the bilingual class reading lists!).
